Digital Terrain Model (DTM)

Digital Terrain Models are captured from aerial imagery by experienced Photogrammetists to accurately reflect the elevation of the mapped area.

Digital Terrain Models is the platform from which all mine design and planning is done.

Accurate contours can be generated from a precise DTM.

Breaklines will be captured for a high accuracy DTM (non-automated DTM), by experienced Photogrammetists to accurately reflect changes in gradient.

There is no substitute for the human eye and intelligent decision making when it comes to the creation of a high accuracy DTM. We do not rely on automated routines for the creation of the DTM – instead breaklines are mapped at all essential changes in gradient in addition to spot heights which are captured on the ground and not on low level vegetation.
